Pharmalys conducts GCLP Audit at Ifakara Health Institute, Bagamoyo Laboratory

Nov 6, 2026 | GCLP Accreditation Scheme

As part of its ongoing work to support quality standards in clinical research, Pharmalys conducted a Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) audit at the Ifakara Health Institute, Bagamoyo Laboratory on 8-9 July 2026.

The audit was led by Patrick, Pharmalys GCLP Consultant, who worked alongside the laboratory team to review its quality management systems, procedures and practices in line with GCLP requirements.

Regular GCLP audits help laboratories maintain robust quality management systems and ensure that processes supporting clinical research are consistently implemented. They also provide an opportunity to assess existing practices and identify areas for further development and improvement.

Through its GCLP accreditation scheme, Pharmalys supports laboratories and research institutions in strengthening their quality systems and maintaining standards that underpin reliable and high-quality clinical research.

We thank the Ifakara Health Institute team for their cooperation and engagement throughout the audit and congratulate them on reaching this important milestone.
