On September 25, 2025, Pharmalys held its third and final Pharmalys Voice meeting of the year, bringing together colleagues from across the company in a fun and interactive virtual gathering. The meeting involved presentations from colleagues, engaging discussions, and a strong sense of team spirit, closing out the year on a high note.
What is Pharmalys Voice?
Pharmalys Voice is a company-wide meeting designed to encourage open dialogue, create cross-functional collaboration, and bring our globally distributed team closer together. Held three times a year, it provides a dedicated space for team members to speak freely about their work, share challenges, offer insights, and highlight accomplishments from their day-to-day professional lives.
This initiative reflects our commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and growth. Whether it’s clarifying roles, offering practical tips, or sharing feedback with leadership, Pharmalys Voice gives everyone a platform to be heard. It’s also a chance to connect on a more personal level, with lighter, more interactive moments that strengthen our sense of community, especially important for a team spread across 17 countries.
An essential part of Pharmalys Voice is that it’s hosted by someone outside the management team. This rotating Master of Ceremony role gives team members a chance to build confidence and leadership skills, while ensuring that the meeting truly reflects the voices of the broader team. It’s also a valuable opportunity for the MC to practice public speaking, which can be beneficial for their professional development, especially when presenting at trainings, lectures, or congresses.
September 2025 Meeting
The September 2025 edition of Pharmalys Voice was hosted by Abra Josiane as Master of Ceremony. With her clear guidance and warm energy, she introduced the agenda, explained the concept of Pharmalys Voice to participants, and ensured the session ran smoothly and on time.
We began with a fun and interactive icebreaker which asked the question: “If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 things would you want to have with you?” The answers ranged from practical survival tools to books, pets, and sentimental keepsakes. Some colleagues volunteered their stories, while others were gently encouraged by Abra to share. The exercise sparked both laughter and reflection, setting a lively tone for the meeting.
Getting to Know Each Other’s Roles
A core element of Pharmalys Voice is learning more about colleagues’ professional journeys. This time, we heard from Jeanette, Laboratory Solutions and GCLP Team Lead, based in South Africa, and Celestin, Clinical Research Associate, based in the UK, who shared engaging presentations about their current roles at Pharmalys.
They provided insights into their daily tasks (both office-based and onsite) and reflected on their career progression within the company. Their talks prompted thoughtful questions and sparked lively discussions, especially around Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP) operations by Pharmalys, and the differences in CRA protocols between Africa and Europe.
Growth at Pharmalys
The meeting highlighted opportunities for personal and professional growth, with colleagues sharing knowledge and feedback that will help strengthen teamwork across the organisation.
- Sonya, Director of Business Governance & People Experience, delivered a helpful and practical presentation on time management tips, emphasising the importance of productivity without overworking, taking regular breaks, and maintaining healthy boundaries – such as not responding to emails outside of working hours.
- Cheikh Tidiane, Senior IT Officer, presented the results of the company-wide SharePoint feedback survey, conducted after three months of using the new intranet system. The results were largely positive, with helpful suggestions for future improvements to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
Thoughts and Feedback
Team input continues to play a central role in shaping Pharmalys Voice. To close the session, colleagues were invited to anonymously share suggestions for future topics using Slido. An total of 23 topics of discussion were submitted, reflecting the team’s diverse interests and collective ambition to keep improving together.
Closing the Year with Gratitude
As the meeting drew to a close, Abra Josiane thanked all the speakers and participants for their energy and contributions. This September gathering marked not only the end of another successful meeting, but also the conclusion of this year’s Pharmalys Voice series. Once again, it demonstrated the power of communication, collaboration, and shared purpose.
We look forward to building on these conversations and insights when Pharmalys Voice returns in 2026!
