We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a GCLP audit at the KEMRI–Wellcome Trust Research Programme facility in Kilifi, Kenya, conducted on 6-7 November 2025.
The audit was led by Patrick Karugaba and covered a wide range of laboratory areas, including Immunology, STAT Laboratory, CTL, Microbiology, Serology, Virology, CAT 3 Lab, Biobank, Molecular, Insectary, and Safety Laboratories. The breadth of this assessment underscores the complexity and high standards maintained across the facility.
Patrick worked closely with Jesuvei Clayton, Laboratory QA Manager and primary point of contact, alongside all senior leaders heading the respective laboratory units. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to quality ensured a smooth and productive audit process.
As part of Pharmalys’ broader effort to elevate laboratory quality systems worldwide, we offer a global GCLP accreditation scheme providing laboratories (regardless of geographic location or project scale) the opportunity to have their Laboratory processes related to clinical trial independently evaluated and certified against international standards.
As part of Pharmalys’ mission to elevate global laboratory standards, we offer a GCLP accreditation scheme that allows laboratories of any scale to have their Laboratory processes related to clinical trial independently evaluated and certified. This initiative provides laboratories with the opportunity to strengthen data integrity, improve operational processes, and demonstrate adherence to international GCLP standards. Pharmalys welcomes other institutions interested in advancing their GCLP journey to explore this collaborative pathway toward accreditation.
