A successful GCLP Audit at Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Senegal

Mar 25, 2026 | GCLP Accreditation Scheme

Jeanette Young’s unit at Pharmalys plays a crucial role in advancing global excellence in Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) through the delivery of highly specialised ad hoc services, including tailored GCLP trainings and comprehensive gap analyses for laboratory teams worldwide. By combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of regulatory and quality frameworks, the unit supports laboratories in aligning with international GCLP standards to ensure data integrity, participant safety, and operational efficiency. Whether providing on-site assessments, remote advisory support, or customised training programmes, Jeanette’s team continues to empower laboratories to achieve and sustain GCLP accreditation, driving global progress in clinical research quality and compliance.

From 24–28 March 2025, Pharmalys continued its commitment to building robust laboratory practices through an ongoing GCLP capacity-building project with the Institut Pasteur de Dakar, focussing on the CEPI– Reference Laboratories. During this productive week, Jeanette Young, Laboratory Solution and GCLP Team Lead at Pharmalys, had the privilege of conducting a GCLP gap analysis and delivering comprehensive GCLP training to 23 dedicated staff members.

To ensure clarity and inclusivity, Pharmalys provided French language support throughout both the gap analysis and training sessions, making sure nothing was lost in translation. The team’s enthusiasm and professionalism were truly commendable, and their hospitality made the experience even more rewarding.

This collaboration represents another important step toward strengthening compliance and quality standards in clinical trial laboratories. Pharmalys remains committed to supporting laboratories worldwide in achieving GCLP excellence and contributing to the global advancement of reliable, ethical, and high-quality clinical research.

Thank you to the Institut Pasteur de Dakar team for your commitment and partnership!

As part of Pharmalys’ mission to elevate global laboratory standards, we offer a GCLP accreditation scheme that allows laboratories of any scale to have their Laboratory processes related to clinical trial independently evaluated and certified. This initiative provides laboratories with the opportunity to strengthen data integrity, improve operational processes, and demonstrate adherence to international GCLP standards. Pharmalys welcomes other institutions interested in advancing their GCLP journey to explore this collaborative pathway toward accreditation.
