Pharmalys is pleased to announce the successful completion of a GCLP audit at the MSF Epicentre Laboratory in Mbarara, Uganda, conducted on 13-14 November 2025.
Epicentre is a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) satellite dedicated to epidemiology, medical research, and training. Its research centres in Niger and Uganda provide essential infrastructure for field-driven projects benefiting affected populations.
The audit was carried out by Patrick Karugaba, whose expertise and collaborative approach contributed to a highly productive review. Patrick had the pleasure of working closely with Dan Nyehangane, Laboratory Coordinator, along with the dedicated laboratory staff whose professionalism and engagement were key to the success of the assessment. Also visiting the laboratory during this period was Alexandra Ascorra, Research Assistant from France, whose presence added valuable insight into ongoing research activities.
As part of Pharmalys’ broader effort to elevate laboratory quality systems worldwide, we offer a global GCLP accreditation scheme providing laboratories (regardless of geographic location or project scale) the opportunity to have their Laboratory processes related to clinical trial independently evaluated and certified against international standards.
Through this collaborative approach, Pharmalys supports laboratories in:
- Enhancing data integrity
- Strengthening operational consistency
- Achieving recognised GCLP compliance
We welcome institutions interested in advancing their GCLP journey to explore this pathway toward accreditation. Find out more here or contact us today.
Our sincere thanks go to Dan and the entire MSF Epicentre team for their hospitality, openness, and unwavering commitment to high-quality clinical research. This collaboration represents another meaningful step in strengthening laboratory practice and supporting impactful global health research.
